Vice President, Director of Clinical Development
The VP, Director of Clinical Development position will oversee and be directly responsible for the technical execution of the client's co-development clinical trial design, clinical product development, and analytical and clinical validation programs, as well as the execution of client signature development and tumor profiling projects. The role also entails the supporting of an effective business development program to maximize organization growth. The role will serve as overall customer relationship manager responsible for developing and expanding new business opportunities with pharmaceutical customers seeking an experienced partner in biomarker progression and companion diagnostic development. Experience with microarray platform technology, cell-line studies, FFPE, and fresh tissue, RNA extraction, statistical analysis, and signature development in both predictive chemotherapy response and pathway activation biomarkers will be critical in this role. The business development component will involve scientist-to-scientist prospecting and contractual development, as well as acting as a liaison with academic scientists and industry prospects seeking collaborations. Successful candidate will possess a MD or Ph.D. in a molecular, biochemical or related discipline. Candidate must have 10 years minimum experience in leading or managing advanced scientific, biomarker research and validation initiatives in support of clinical development. Molecular oncology leadership experience is also required, preferably in chemotherapeutic drug and companion diagnostic development environment.
Vice President, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems
The VP, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems will develop and lead the oversight of the company’s regulatory and quality assurance programs. The individual will lead the development and execution of the company's regulatory strategy, including the spearheading of the company's CLIA, FDA, and international IVD product submissions. Additionally, the individual will develop and implement CancerGuide's quality assurance strategy for the promotion and assessment of compliance with regulations, guidelines, and operating procedures. The individual will also develop and manage QA and regulatory oversight of projects, assignments, and training; including conducting independent internal and partner audits to assess compliance with regulations, guidelines, and operating procedures. The individual will also design, implement, and oversee the company’s document control system. Experience with microarray platform technology, cell-line studies, formalin-fixed paraffin embedded and fresh tissue, RNA extraction, and statistical analysis will be helpful in this role. Successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in a pharmaceutical, molecular, biochemical or related discipline. Candidate must have 7 years minimum experience in leading or managing successful regulatory and/or quality assurance initiatives/projects/departments.
Biostatistician (2)
The Biostatistician position provides support for biomarker development and validation projects and performs study design, statistical analyses, and interpretations of gene expression data and other genomic data in conjunction with biomarker and clinical data from clinical studies. The candidate will work with teams of scientists, clinicians, and bioinformaticians to design experiments or trials and implement statistical analyses in the identification and characterization of biomarkers from clinical samples. Preferred experience and skill will include biostatistics and bioinformatics analysis, and particularly predictive modeling and algorithm development for biomarkers/classifiers development and commercialization as a path forward for personalized cancer therapies. This role will also include the analysis of other biomarker data and support for clinical design with biomarker components in companion diagnostic projects. This position will provide a critical bridging between clinicians and biomarker experts for the effective communication of key statistical results in the R&D and regulatory process.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in Biostatistics or Statistics or equivalent experience for more than 3 years in statistical analysis of gene expression biomarker data in a pharmaceutical and biotech setting. Also required is a strong background in parametric and nonparametric statistical methods, multivariate statistics, classification and resampling, as well as experience in the analysis of biomarker and assay data. Experience in predictive modeling, classification and discriminant analysis is strongly desirable. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with statisticians and non-statisticians alike. Experience with R/Bioconductor, SAS, MatLab and other relevant software packages is a must. Familiarity with a Linux/Unix environment, and bioinformatics applications and algorithms for genomics data analysis will be a plus. Strong scientific writing skills, collaborative skills, and multitasking skills are all key attributes required for this position.
